YEAR 3 VISIT TO THE STEM DICOVERY CENTRE
Year 3 had an amazing trip to the STEM Discovery Centre in Stevenage this month.
We were split into our classes and had a day packed full of information and fun. Children were able to learn about how light travels in a straight line and what happens to it if a mirror is placed in its way. They were then able to make a kaleidoscope and it was lovely seeing how proud they were and keen to show their friends and the adults on the trip their creation.
The children really enjoyed the ExoMars Rover Project discussion and were keen to see the Rovers in the viewing area. 3B designed their very own rovers and it was obvious how much they had learnt as they really used this to influence their designs.
The free play area was so much fun and allowed the children to investigate all the different exhibits whilst having fun with their friends. The day concluded with a well-organised show from the staff members at STEM and the children were given the opportunity to be part of the show.
Once again thanks to the support staff and parent helpers who gave up their time to make the day possible and well done to the children who represented the school such in a positive way.
