This week we learnt all about the four countries of the UK. We had a fun-filled afternoon looking at each individual country and what makes them special.
On Monday 4th July Year One had their first school trip. In the morning we boarded a double decker bus that we were all very excited about and went to spend the day at Herrings Green Farm.
This year for World Book Day we dressed up as people that inspire us. The teachers were amazed by all of the fantastic costumes and how confident the children were when talking about their inspirational person. Thomas said 'I want to be a fire fighter when he grows up!'.
Earlier this term we had a special zoom call from Pollock's Toy Museum in London. We were shown lots of different toys from the past, starting with some of the oldest toys leading up to more modern toys.
In Guided Reading we have been learning about the sequence of stories. We listened to the story of The Three Little Pigs and made up actions to help us remember the order of the pigs houses.
In science this term we have been learning about plants. We have talked about garden centres and how they sell lots of different plants and flowers that we can grow in our gardens at home.
