The Harpur Trust is offering financial support to help children on Free School Meals buy school uniforms when they transition from primary to secondary school in September 2024. This long-standing project involves working in partnership with the state secondary schools in Bedford Borough who administer the funds on our behalf. Each school manages the scheme for their school, informing the families and carers of the new intake of eligible Year 7 students of the financial support that is available.

Each child is offered up to £50 towards the cost of their new uniform.

Children are eligible for support if they meet ALL the following criteria.

·      Eligible for free school meals

·      Resident in the Borough of Bedford

·      Changing from primary school to state secondary school in Bedford Borough.

We want to make sure that all the families who are eligible for this scheme take up the support that is available to them.
