In English, we are looking at fairy tales, we have sequenced and rewrote some traditional fairy tales and are now busy rewriting our own twisted fairy tale. The children have been concentrating on using speech and expanded noun phrases in their writing.

In maths, we are now looking at number up to 10000. The children started by exploring numbers up to 10000 by concentrating on the place value. We have now moved onto adding 4 digit number to 4 digit number using the column method.

Finally, in science we are looking at the digestive system where the children got the chance to make some fake’ poo’ in order to learn how the different components of the digestive system aid the break down of our food.
