This month Year 4 went on a trip to the STEM Centre. In the morning we got on our coach and went to Stevenage and when we arrived the staff were there to meet us to give us a quick briefing about the centre.

We have had a lovely start to year 4 and have started lots of interesting new topics and are getting to know the children well.                                   

In art, we have been learning about different artists who designed landscapes. The artists we have studied this term are: Frances Hatch, Thomas Gainsborough, David Hockney and Claude Monet. We analyzed their landscapes and discussed techniques, mediums and mood created from the images.

Last term, we were lucky enough to visit the stem discovery Centre in Stevenage. It was really cool!

In DT this term, we are looking at the seasonality of different foods. We are in currently in the process of tasting strawberries and how they are used in smoothies. During one of our lessons, we all became smoothie tasters. We had a range of smoothies to taste to conduct our project research.

This term in science we have been learning about animals and their habitats. In class we learnt about grouping animals using their characteristics to classify them using the groups vertebrates or invertebrates.

Last month Year 4 went to Norfolk to Hilltops Activity Center.  It was so much fun and in this blog the children in 4A have described the activities they took part in...

On Tuesday, 4J went in the garden for outdoor learning. Everyone got a bit muddy but had a really fun time.
