COMPUTING CLUBS
In CODERGang, the boys and girls learnt how to make a simple game using Scratch. They worked through the popular Flappy Bird Game, adapting and coding it to make it workable on the program. The children enjoyed this immensely, while finding it challenging and satisfying at the same time, helping them to increase their own personal coding skills along the way. Well done!
In TechGIRLZ, we had a great time learning about famous women who worked with Computers to develop, design and code a variety of different ways to help technology be used in a positive way. This was to allow the girls to see that there are prospects for females in the Technological industries. The girls learnt about Ada Lovelace, Elizabeth Friedman, Grace Hopper and Hedy Lamarr and their contributions to the world of Technology, some still even used today!
