Our new bird hide has come in handy as we have a family of robins that live in our hedge and who often come out to say hello and eat from the bird feeders which the children have made and from others we keep topped up for them.  The squirrels are also active and if you look carefully you can often see them playing in the garden and jumping through the trees and hedges.

The children have enjoyed working together to improve the mud patch and that has involved transporting lots of water from the water butt.  Another favourite activity has been getting out the diggers and creating a quarry moving dirt, wood and stones from place to place.

We would just like to remind all parent/carers that if your child takes part in outdoor learning it is imperative that you send them in with warm, waterproof clothes and wellington boots in a plastic bag especially at this time of year when it is so cold and damp outside.
