CHINESE NEW YEAR
We have been learning about the Chinese Zodiac story and we learnt that twelve animals who won the race each had a year named after them. We discovered that 2025 is the year of the snake and most of us were born in the year of the rat or pig.
We have been making some decorations for the classroom including gold and red lanterns. We also made some puppets including dragons and snakes. We enjoyed watching the lion and dragon dancing and we even created our own dragon dance. We worked together to move the dragon up and down and side to side while some of us provided a steady beat using instruments.
